BIC share officialy list on HOSE

BIC established thanks to the acquisition of BIDV through the buying share from International Insurance Group of Australia (QBE) in the Viet Australia Insurance Joint Venture (which had been set up and operated in Vietnam from 1999). BIC officially operated under the new brand name of BIC from 1 January 2006. BIC has equitized and turned into General Corporation from 1 October 2010 and raised its chartered capital to 660 billions dong.
As estimated by the Vietnam Insurance Association, from 2008, BIC has been continuously among 6 leading non life insurers in term of gross written premium. In the period 2006 – 2010, BIC was one of fast growing insurance companies with average growth rate of 83% per year (the average growth rate of insurance market was 25% per year). Business scale continued to enlarge in the past 5 years: total asset increase 68% per year, technical provision increase 59% per year, network expanded to 21 wholly owned subsidiaries and 87 business offices.Being member of one of leading banks in Vietnam (BIDV), BIC has the advantages to develop advanced distribution channels and employ BIDV’s banking clients, selling insurance products via the Bank’s outlets.
