LVI sign US$200 million insurance contract with Lao Air

The signing ceremony was witnessed by LVI’s founders included: General Director of the Banque pour le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL), Sonesay Sitphasay, and BCEL Deputy Director, Vanhkham Voravong, and Chairman of the Bank for Investment and Development Insurance Corporation Pham Quang Tung.

Besides the support from BCEL and the trust of Lao Air, LVI provided the cover through cooperation with Boston Marks - the reinsurance broker company from New Zealand to ensure the financial safety for the service. At the same time, in order to ensure a high quality service, LVI developed a close relationship with claim and survey companies in Thailand and Vietnam including Crawford and Cunningham Lindsey.

LVI secured second place among Laos insurance companies in terms of market share in 2010; and with the signing of a $200 million deal with Lao Air, the LVI brand has become further established in the Laos market.
