BIC in The 2014 Top financial indicators performers

The program "Capacity assessment of business operations" is implemented by Institute of Research and Business Development; The Vietnam Association of Accountants and Auditors, Vietnam Association of Corporate Directors in collaboration with Vietnam Business Forum, The Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association. Through the synthesis and analysis of financial statements (audited) of 1,088 listed companies on stock exchanges in Vietnam under strict regulations and international standards, the Organizing Committee for the program has selected 147 companies who achieved good financial capabilities index, thereby leading industry groups and businesses participating the program in terms of: financial leverage ratios, business efficiency indexes, payment indexes, profitability indexes, capital preservation ratios and other indicators.

In the insurance industry, BIC is one in a handful of companies shortlisted for good financial indicators performers in the program.

BIC officially listed its shares on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) on 6th September 2011. Up until present, BIC is always among the top insurers who have the highest chartered capital in the market. By the end of 2014, total charter capital of BIC has reached over 762 billion VND and will continue to increase after completion of the strategic stake sale project of BIC. Remarkably, on a basis of positive business results and good financial situation in the last 5 years, A.M. Best, one of the leading credit rating agencies in the world has assigned B+ for financial strength grading and bbb- for issuer credit rating to BIC. This is a very positive result for credit rating of the business for the first time, which provides BIC with a good opportunity to reach international standards and continue to develop overseas investment and attract potential strategic investors.
