BIC opened the third wholly-owned subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City

The ceremony was participated by representatives of the Head Office, heads of BIDV Sai Gon, North Sai Gon, East Sai Gon, Ba Thang Hai, Ben Nghe, Cu Chi, Ham Nghi, Ky Hoa Branch, members of the BIC’s Board of Directors, Board of Management, key staff of BIC and all of the Management and staff of BIC Ben Thanh.

According to the speech of Mr. Tran Hoai An, Member of the Board of Directors and CEO of BIC at the ceremony, since 2006, insurance revenue of BIC in Ho Chi Minh City has rocketed with the average annual growth rate of 45%. Two wholly-owned subsidiaries of BIC operating in Ho Chi Minh City (BIC Ho Chi Minh and BIC Sai Gon) are excellent wholly-owned with the highest growth rate in the BIC system. The establishment of BIC Ben Thanh will motivate BIC to make a breakthrough in its business operation and strongly improve competitiveness to help BIC become the leading insurance brand in local area and nationwide.

At the ceremony, BIC Ben Thanh signed the first insurance contracts. In detail, BIC Ben Thanh, Vina One Steel Manufacturing Corporation and Thong Nhat Rubber Company Limited signed principle contracts on insurance of goods transportation with sum insured amounting to over 120 million USD.
