Conference on Insurance for Vietnam Rubber industry in Cambodia
Cited by Mr Cao Minh Son, CVI’ CEO, this is the first time in Cambodia a new agriculture insurance solution was introduced to protect the rubber forests. This is a specific insurance product with the aim at reducing financial risks for Vietnamese Investors. It shall help Vietnamese investors protect their rubber tree from risks and get profits from extracting natural rubber latex in these rubber plantation projects.
Mr. Leang Rithy – Head of Representative of Vietnam Rubber Group in Cambodia said that rubber projects of Vietnam in Cambodia have been positively developed in term of both natural and social environments.
However, there are still some potential risks for these rubber plantations such as natural hazards, social instability, Insecticides and price changes, etc. Thus, Vietnam rubber group is having a big concern about insurance solution for their long-term investment plan in Cambodia in order to ensure both economic and political benefits of two countries.
The conference about introducting and consulting these agriculture and rubber tree insurance products for Vietnamese enterprises is carried out by Cambodia-Vietnam Insurance Company with the participation of some specialists from JLT Specialty Asia – one of professional Insurance broker of British.
