On September 24, 2025, at Nhon Trach 6 Industrial Park, Dong Nai, Southern Basic Chemicals Joint Stock Company (SOCHEM) held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Nhon Trach Chemical Plant Project, affirming the company's commitment to modernizing production coupled with the goal of sustainable development for the company and the Vietnam National Chemical Group.
Historic Turning Point for Southern Basic Chemicals
This is a historic turning point for the company, marking a new phase of development. The company aims to expand the production line capacity to 100,000 tons of caustic soda per year (100% equivalent) and 100,000 tons of sulfuric acid per year, while also developing new chlorine-based products and specialized chemicals for the electronics, semiconductor, and energy industries. This direction not only meets the growing domestic demand for chemicals but is also the first step for the company to integrate deeply into regional and international supply chains, raising the position of the Vietnamese brand in the global market.
