In the first eight months of 2025, Vietnam’s fertilizer exports performed well. The total volume of exports reached over 1.5 million tons, valued at $624.16 million. This represents a significant increase of 29% in volume and 30.4% in value compared to the same period in 2024.
August 2025 Highlights: According to preliminary data from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam exported 204,697 tons of fertilizer in August 2025, worth $93.54 million. This was a strong month, with a 13.6% increase in volume and a 15.1% increase in value compared to July 2025. Year-on-year, August 2025 saw an even more impressive boost, with volume up 55.4% and value up 59.9% compared to August 2024.
Top Export Markets:Cambodia remains the largest market for Vietnamese fertilizer, accounting for 32.5% of the total volume and 31.3% of the total value. Exports to Cambodia reached 489,212 tons, valued at $195.16 million, showing a 32.8% increase in volume and a 27.5% increase in value compared to the first eight months of 2024.
Other Key Markets:
South Korea was the second-largest market, receiving 109,909 tons ($45.26 million). However, exports to South Korea saw a decline in both volume (-10.7%) and value (-11.4%).
Malaysia was the third-largest market, with 93,819 tons ($39.48 million), showing healthy growth of 10.5% in volume and 21% in value.
Overall, the report indicates that fertilizer exports to most markets grew in both volume and value during the first eight months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
