FIS installs automatic forest fire forecast signboards in Ha Giang province
By November 2022, Ha Giang suffered damage due to forest fires on an area of 33.7 hectares of natural forest and 2.8 hectares of planted forest. Proactive forest fire prevention has been of special interest to sectors, levels and people in order to minimize the damage caused by forest fires. With the consent and the signing of a contract with the Ha Giang Forest Protection Department, the Forestry Information System Joint Stock Company successfully installed 05 automatic forest fire forecast signboards in Ha Giang province.
The automatic forest fire forecast signboards show 5 forest fire warning levels from level I to V. Through the sensor role, meteorological factors are collected to calculate the forest fire warning level and control the needle to the position showing the fire warning level. Thanks to that, the on-site forest rangers can identify areas with high risk of forest fires; carry out preventive work and prepare tools, equipment, and rescue forces to respond to the worst case scenario.
