FIS reports on the results of building the forest price framework in Ha Tinh province

According to Decision No. 580/QD-UBND dated December 8th, 2022 of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee, the province currently has 313,022.8 hectares of forest, accounting for 60.1% of the province's natural area. In which, protection forests are 116,135.6 hectares, special-use forests are 74,501 hectares, and production forests are 169,216.5 hectares. The forest area is mainly concentrated in the western districts such as Huong Khe, Huong Son, Ky Anh, Vu Quang.

Pursuant to the Circular No. 32/2018/TT-BNNPTNT dated November 16th, 2018 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development regulating the method of forest valuation; forest price bracket; Decision No. 4123/QD-UBND dated December 21th, 2021 of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province on approving the outline of tasks and estimates for the construction of forest price brackets in Ha Tinh province. The Ha Tinh Provincial Forest Protection Department in coordination with the consulting unit, Forestry Information System Joint Stock Company, has implemented the measurement,  external investigation, synthesis, calculation and submission for appraisal to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Finance, the Department of Justice, etc. an explanatory report on the forest price framework in Ha Tinh province and attached documents.

Accordingly, the forest price framework is built for protection, special-use, and production forests that are natural forests and protection, special-use, and production forests that are planted forests; At the same time, determine how to calculate and apply the forest price framework for the management of the sector and forest use.

The promulgation of the forest price framework shall serve as a basis for calculating fees in the following cases: Forest allocation by the Goverment, auction of forest use rights and forest lease; to determine the value of compensation when committing acts of violating the law causing damage to forests; damage caused by forest fires and natural disasters.
