Faced with the situation of many forest areas being lost due to people encroaching, forest management, protection, and use of forestry land still have many shortcomings. Chu A Thai Protection Forest Management Board has combined with Forestry Information System Joint Stock Company (FIS) to develop a sustainable forest management plan for the period 2021-2030.

According to the plan, in the period 2021-2030, the Board will protect the entire existing natural forest area. Planting new forests on land planned for protection and production forests. The main tree species planted, such as Dipterocarpus alatus, Shorea siamensis, Senna siamea... for protective forest land and Acacia, Eucalyptus and native tree species for production forest land. Regarding non-timber forest products, the Board plans to exploit non-timber forest products such as: Bambuseae, schizostachyum aciculare, Bambusa nutans, Bambusa procera,Calamus,medicinal herbs... . Infrastructure construction also contributes significantly to forest management and protection; It is expected that the Board will build a new forest fire watchtower.

In sustainable forest management, the participation of people and local communities is one of the basic factors that help implement the contents of the sustainable forest management plan to achieve higher results. Activities that people here can participate in and benefit from include: afforestation, care, tree nursery, exploitation, collection of non-timber forest products, hired or contracted jobs for restoration work. Forestry services: contracting for digging holes, planting, caring for, harvesting, and preventing pests and diseases for forestry trees; some activities in forest fire prevention and fighting; Caring for, rescuing and rescuing animals.

The sustainable forest management plan at Chu A Thai Protection Forest Management Board for the period 2021-2030 is built on the basis of inheriting reliable sources of documents, along with survey data and direct interviews in the area. . At the same time, the plan is based on consultation on documents, instructions, and regulations on protection forest management, silvicultural technical solutions, conservation, and eco-tourism development for protective forests according to regulations and use of current economic and technical norms. The results of the plan must be effective in all three aspects: economic, social and environmental.
