Vinh Phuc installed 10 automatic forest fire forecast signboards in 2023
Due to the impact of climate change worldwide, the earth's temperature is getting hotter by the hour, and the hot and dry weather is becoming more complicated every year. These unfavorable conditions all pose a high risk of forest fires, especially in key areas prone to fires such as special-use forests and protective forests. Implementing the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 43 on continuing to effectively implement forest fire prevention and fighting measures (PCCCR), the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province has issued a document directing all levels, sectors and localities to strengthen the implementation of forest fire prevention measures. One of the effective measures is to use technology to promptly notify the risk of fire to on-site forest rangers. Therefore, in December 2023, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Forest Protection Department in coordination with the Forestry Information System Joint Stock Company successfully installed 10 automatic forest fire forecast signboards at a number of Forest Ranger Districts and Stations in the province. The effectiveness of the signs has partly prevented and minimized forest fires, protected forest resources and maintained the ecological environment.
